Yuan Shikai was a rare refined gold sample coin without signature in the three-year "Seven Faces" edition of the Republic of China. In February of the three-year period of the Republic of China, the National Monetary Regulations were promulgated. The Tianjin Mint immediately planned the coin model, which was operated by L. Giorgi, the Italian chief sculptor. George had never seen Yuan Shikai himself before. He carved in the form of photographs. He thought that Yuan was "old and weak" and that after the completion of the "Seven Dimensions" edition, he personally brought sample coins to Beijing to meet Yuan Shikai. However, when presenting them, he found that the portraits carved differed greatly from Yuan's own demeanor and could not show Yuan's strong image without appreciation. George asked to be re-engraved and approved. Yuan Shikai sat down and posed for him. After re-engraving, the portrait was the general profile image (commonly known as "Yuan Datou"). There are signature and unsigned versions on the seventh side. The number of surviving coins is very small, and the gold sample coins are even rarer.
